Jeffrey graduated from the University of London in 1997 with a Bachelor of Laws and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2001. He commenced his legal career with Public Bank Berhad where his portfolio included industrial, employment and labour matters. Jeffrey commenced legal practice with his pupilage in Messrs Shearn Delamore & Co., one of the largest law firms in Malaysia.

Since then, he has gone on to gain extensive litigation experience with several other established law firms. In his formative years as a lawyer, Jeffrey trained as a litigation lawyer and had been actively involved in a wide array of litigation and alternative dispute resolution cases. He went on to lead a litigation department and had been involved in many high profile legal proceedings. At one point, he was handling all the litigation cases of one of the largest property developers in Malaysia and its subsidiaries and associate companies.

Jeffrey’s experience in litigation includes commercial litigation, winding-up proceedings, bankruptcy proceedings, asset and debt recovery, leases and tenancies disputes, construction and building contracts, execution of judgments and pre-emptive reliefs such as Anton Piller injunctions and Mareva injunctions.

Jeffrey has also gained invaluable experience in conveyancing and banking law – he has experience in sale and purchase of property agreements, tenancy and lease agreements, loan agreements, deed of assignments, facilities agreement, charge documents and other security documents. He is currently the partner managing our Klang Office which has been working closely with large property development companies like IJM Land Bhd, WCT Land Bhd and Gamuda Land Berhad.
